Our story

Jewellery designer Estelle Burton and ceramicist Steinunn Bjarnadóttir met while studying for their Design Research Masters at Central Saint Martins in London. It was here they discovered a shared passion for material alchemy, driven to find new applications for undervalued, unwanted and unusable materials in the luxury space.

With a focus on glass and ceramic waste materials, Atelier Etha was founded in 2024 to continue this exploration, through collaborations in partnership with waste industry specialists and other creatives to transform these ideas into reality.
